ATOS Check Protocol
These checks are required to be performed by an authorised factory representative at 2 year intervals.  Consult A-I-R for your local representative.

 
1. upgrades? Tip cam / carbon tip insert / other A-frame / Atos C-control system  
2. sweep correspond to certification. Value adjusted sweep__________  
3. twist protocol and optic  
4. condition of: sail, spoiler, flaps, zipper  
5. Velcro position and strength  
6. remove sail  
7. D-spar
  • dents and cracks at the skin
  • gluing spar wall and skin
  • dents and cracks at the wall
  • loop connection
  • rib plate especially R8
 
8. ribs especially R6 and R1 and R8  
9. dents at keel especially at the A-frame connection  
10. connection A-frame keel inspect hooks for fine cracks  
11. belt connection plate, fine cracks?  
12. Connection to keel tube fine cracks?  
13. rivets keel tube / plates slack?  
14. apex nut secured? straight?  
15. repair D-spar
  • ribs
  • spoiler
  • sail
 
16. spoiler rope change (1.55m / 0.61m)  
17. hinge screw of spoiler lever change (Locktite, ring, shrinking tube)  
18. spoiler lever cracks?  
19. spoiler bungee change  
20. control cable and limit rope condition?  
21. flap bungee change  
22. screws for all pulleys tight with Locktite?  
23. all rib bolts with safety rings?  
24. control cable routing , knots?  
25. hang loop condition, position?  
26. pulleys run light no noise greased?  
27. R6 plastic pulley at new Atos C gap closer 1.5mm  
28. nut at apex top hinge V2A material outer diameter 6.5? no slack at hinge?  
29. tightening bungee retrofit for no slack at control cable  
30. flap rope and tip lever rope condition?  
31. B –pin in main bolt?  
32. nose fitting secured with rings, assembly without tension (rotate screw!)  
33. DHV sticker and ser. no. at the glider  
34. Screw for front wire (at keel) fixed with Locktite  
35. correct twist if necessary  
36. check sail (Velcro, wear )  
but sail on  
37. right tension at fish cams?  
38. spoiler
  • bungee and limiter rope
  • lever moves freely
  • hinge screw with paint and ring?
 
39. flaps move light max. deflection 0-70 deg. relative to keel  
40. slack in control system/ limiter rope correct?  
41. quick pins moving light / function?  
42. webbing connection sail / keel tight?
43. outer tube to R9 fixed for torsion (3 rivets)  
44. tip tube and tip slides easily in?  
45. nose tube slides easily in (position of fixing ring?)  
46. right tension at zippers  
47. transport bags in the D-spar fixed  
48. keel clevis bolt for rear bracing wire protected with shrinking tube  
glider complete in bag?
