Here are some links to information on recumbent bicycles:

And on these pages, some of my personal projects:

  • The Talon - my homemade carbon-frame lowracer!
  • The Noodler - (lowracer superceded by the Talon)
  • The Blue Meanie Two - my tandem recumbent
  • The Blue Meanie a duplicate of my TW-bents bike I made for a friend to ride. Now dissassembled to make the tandem.
  • Fairings -The bike pictured on the right is my own TW-Bents (made in Taiwan) Short Wheelbase bike from TriSled, with my home made tail fairing, the "Red Menace".  I actually get better clearance from traffic than most upright bikes because I stand out more. Here's some information on how the fairing was made.
  • Electric Assist - I sometimes have an electric assist unit mounted to the front wheel of my bike. (it's removeable)  You can see some information on it here

Why ride a recumbent?

Easy on the tailbone, the neck and shoulders.
Low wind resistance
Great visibility (you actually
see more than the road just in front!)
Efficient
Different!

And just for laughs, here's a pic of my first ever try at making a recumbent trike back in the early 90's.  It was diabolical.
